Conant School Council 2021-2022

Dear Conant Community,

 The PTO is asking for 2 members of the Conant Community to stand up and volunteer to join the Conant School Council for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C requires each school to establish a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, community members and, at the secondary level, students.  School Councils are to provide assistance to school principals and are tasked with the following responsibilities:

·      Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards

·      Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school

·      Reviewing the annual school building budget

·      Formulating a school improvement plan

The school council will meet approximately six times during the school year, outside of school hours, for one hour each meeting.

Please nominate yourselves by responding to the PTO President (president@conantpto.org) or Vice President (vicepresident@conantpto.org).  We will then proceed with an election conducted via email.

We all know how special Conant is; and it’s important to know that it’s special because of you and your dedication.  This is your PTO and if we ach play a part, we will continue to make Conant shine.  The PTO kindly thanks you in advance for your consideration.
